On December 17th at 6:00 PM, Covington Academy’s elementary students took the stage for their annual Christmas program at the New Life Praise Center in Covington, GA. Directed by Music and Arts Director Mrs. Grimes, the students performed Sheep in Heavenly Peace, a heartwarming and humorous holiday tale.
Set in Bethlehem, the town is overflowing with travelers for the census. The stable, packed with animals—camels, donkeys, and goats—has become completely chaotic, and even the normally quiet hillsides are filled with sheep! In an effort to manage the situation, the town’s Stable Manager, along with a temp agency, hires the most enthusiastic and unique family—the Wooltons—to help out. What they expect to be a simple and unglamorous job soon turns into a life-changing adventure, bringing them face to face with the angel Gabriel, a sky full of Heavenly Hosts, and ultimately, the Good Shepherd himself.
With a full house of excited families and friends, our students gave an outstanding performance filled with energy and joy. Their hard work and festive spirit made the evening truly special, leaving the audience with smiles and full hearts.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to New Life Praise Center for generously donating their space, providing the perfect venue for our students to showcase their talents.
From vibrant costumes to enthusiastic performances, the evening was filled with holiday cheer and a reminder of the true meaning of the season. A big thank you to all our talented students, teachers, and everyone who made this event possible. Their dedication helped create a memorable celebration of community and the true spirit of the season.
We are incredibly proud of our elementary students and are excited for future performances. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this special event. Stay tuned for more exciting events from Covington Academy!
