In Loving Memory of Glenn McCullough
August 1, 1972 – May 18, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn McCullough beloved husband, father, mentor, leader, and educator, who departed this life on May 18, 2025 at the age of 52.
Born on August 1,1972 in Rockdale GA, to Alton and Arlen McCullough, Glenn was a pillar of the Covington Academy school community. Together Glenn and his wife Amanda built a place where students, teachers, and families felt valued and inspired. His impact as a mentor and leader extended far beyond the classroom walls, shaping countless lives with his wisdom, time and dedication.
Whether it was offering assistance, mentoring a student, building a drama set or sharing one of his random history facts, Glenn had a gift for making people feel seen and supported.
Outside of school, Glenn found joy in the great outdoors and in being part of the Duvall Hunting family. He especially loved planning ambitious itineraries for family trips. His adventurous spirit lives on in his children, grandchildren, and all who shared in life’s journey with him.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Amanda McCullough; his children, Andrew McCullough (Tori), Austin McCullough (Jenni), Alexis McCullough, Bailey Blake, and Mason McCullough; his grandchildren, Paisley, Parker, Paxton, Payson, and twin girls expected in October 2025; his parents, Alton and Arlen McCullough; and his brother, Craig McCullough.
A memorial service to celebrate Glenn’s life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:00 am at Eastridge Church (863 GA-142, Covington, GA 30014).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made toward the Covington Academy Gym—a space they envision as a gift to future generations of students. Donations can be made by check at the school or online at https://givebutter.com/RememberingGlennCA .
Even in the midst of sorrow, Glenn’s legacy lives on in the family he loved, the students he inspired, the lessons he shared, and the community he helped build.
